my current collection of design books is starting to look quite pathetic... so i went "window shopping" on amazon in search of what i'm missing...  one by one or possibly all at once (under the christmas tree perhaps? ha, a girl can dream... right?) these books need a new home on my shelves...

today i read the best news ever! (dramatic, i know) but seriously ladies, hold your breath.....

candace bushnell is releasing a new book tilted the carrie diaries! a teen prequel to her famous franchise focusing on bradshaw's first love, her high school career, how she become a writer, and her relationship with her mother. the book is set to be published on april 27, 2010 and below is a sneak peak of the cover

i enjoyed the cover design so much i complied a few images further showing how well the pairing of pink and brown work together... enjoy!

decisions, decisions, decisions

lighting is tough. especially when you're picky. i spent hours... i mean literally hours surfing the web for nautical inspired lights to hang over the awnings at my market street job. you're probably wondering why this was such a daunting task... and the answer: a very limited budget! i finally ran across the following at lighting universe of all places! now the hard part... choosing!

these lovely lights are budget conscious and they come in a variety of colors!
